I want to thank each and every family that participated in this inspring event, also the City of Malden for allowing it happen, especially Mayor Gary Christenson and councillor Barbara Murphy, not to mention everyone who kindly donated to make this beautiful experience happen. Your continued support is truly appreciated! I hope to work with you all again in the future.

The purpose of our community-based project is to give school-age children living in Malden, Massachusetts and neighboring towns, the opportunity to participate in a collective artistic experience that will help them reconnect, both socially and emotionally, with their friends and community during distant learning due to COVID-19.
Our ultimate goal is to plan and create a mural/public art piece together, which will allow participants to reflect, process and ultimately express how they feel about current events, distant learning, and the pandemic in general. My hope is for this project to give participants a sense of comfort, unity, and hope within our community.
Our main priority will be to keep everyone safe. All art lessons will be taught virtually and individual/one-on-one sessions will be scheduled with each participant and their families to paint our community based mural/artwork. Social distancing and sanitary guidelines will be in place and strictly followed at all times.
